There are so many ways to reuse the products that we have that will not only
save us money but can also be an effective way to help maintain the cleanliness
of our community and aid in the increasing problem of waste management.
Here are some of the ways to recycle:
1.
Play With Your Imagination!
Use with your imagination and be creative. Here are some of the
things that you can do to your discarded materials.
Bottles
Don’t
toss that bottle to your garbage bin just yet! Maybe you can find a nice way to
put it to use. For example, wine bottles can be used as decoration or flower
vase. Large-mouthed bottles, like mayonnaise, can be used to store kitchen
stuff, like sugar or pasta. If you can’t find ways to reuse your bottles and
disposing them is the only option, just don’t forget to place them in the
recycling bin.
Papers
You can reuse
bond papers dad used in the office or you used in your school assignment by
cutting them and turning them into a note pad. You can use papers to create
wonderful art like paper mache. You can also cut-out pictures on magazines and
use them to decorate your room or table. Just remember, place your excess old
papers in the recycling bin.
Cans
You can reuse
cans to plant flowers and herbs. You can also use them to organize your desk by
using them as a paperclip container and the like.
2.
Turn Trash to
Gold!
Well, you can’t exactly turn your trash to gold but you can make
money out of it. One easy way is by collecting them and selling your used
bottles and old newspapers to the nearest junkshop. For example, in the
Philippines, some households collect them and sell them to people walking around
with their wooden pushcarts who are consigners of junkshops.
3.
Compost it!
Enrich the soil quality of your garden by turning your trash to
compost. You’d be happy by its results – more flowers, herbs and fruits!
